Job Summary
As the Head of DMart Operations, you’ll be fully responsible for foodpanda’s marts business. Your goal is to strengthen operations and give customers an outstanding experience.
This high-visibility role means you’ll work with local and regional stakeholders to shape business strategy. You should have a deep understanding of retail principles, so you can deliver top performance across a multi-store setup.
The job isn’t limited to the office, you’ll take a hands-on approach, coach your team, and make sure business targets are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Take full ownership of P&L (Profit and Loss), growing revenue while controlling expenses.
Eliminate non-productive costs and leakages, and keep shrinkage at industry-leading levels.
Take total accountability for the day-to-day operations of the marts business.
Recruit, onboard, and coach a high-performing team to deliver great results.
Plan and manage successful campaigns to meet customer expectations.
Coordinate with government departments and external agencies to ensure smooth business operations.
Work with the rider operations team to boost productivity and reduce customer complaints.
Focus on team growth and retention, keeping people motivated even in tough times.
Collaborate with regional teams to adapt international best practices to local needs.
Experience & Qualifications
Retail Experience: Hands-on experience in retail management, especially in operations and commercials, is essential.
Commercial Acumen: A sharp understanding of business and the ability to take high-level ownership.
Leadership: The skill to lead a team with purpose, ethics, and integrity.
Stakeholder Management: The ability to work with local and regional leadership to remove bottlenecks.
Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people.
Education: A degree in a relevant field and broad experience in the retail industry.
Preferred: Previous experience in the FMCG or groceries sector is a big plus.
