Job Summary
As a Resident Engineer, you’ll be part of AlgoSec’s Sales team, reporting to the Resident Engineering Manager. Your main role is to become a "Trusted Advisor" for the customer.
You’ll handle monitoring, operating, and maintaining AlgoSec products. This role isn’t just about solving technical issues, you’ll also collaborate with Sales, Support, and R&D teams to meet customer needs. The position is home-office based, but it involves up to 50% travel so you can directly guide clients onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor, troubleshoot, and plan upgrades for AlgoSec products.
Customize products based on customer requirements.
Consult clients on best practices and earn their trust.
Handle configuration and administration of networking devices and firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
Manage cloud platforms and cloud security.
Track changes in the customer’s technical landscape and inform internal teams.
Identify revenue-driving opportunities and expansion signals.
Experience & Qualifications
Experience: At least 3 years in a similar role at a software company.
Technical: Deep understanding of Linux/UNIX environments and networking devices (switches, routers).
Firewall: Experience working with firewalls like Checkpoint, Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto.
Cloud: Expertise in cloud platforms and security management.
Language: Excellent written and spoken German (English required).
Travel: Ready to travel up to 50% across the EMEA region.
Skills

- Basic knowledge of APIs (Java, REST) and Linux scripting (Python/Perl) is an advantage.
