Job Summary
The main job of the Research Analyst is to monitor fraud trends and analyze them in depth. In this role, you’ll analyze survey data and create actionable insights for financial institutions, payment providers, and government agencies.
You need to be good at writing reports, hosting webinars, and explaining complex data in simple language through podcasts.
Key Responsibilities
Insight Development: Offer clients the best advice based on Javelin’s independent survey data and industry knowledge.
Report Writing: Use quantitative and qualitative analysis to prepare research reports, impact notes, and PowerPoint presentations.
Data Analysis: Analyze survey data and consumer patterns to find new ways to reduce fraud.
Client Engagement: Respond to clients’ questions and solve their problems with primary or secondary research.
Industry Interviews: Conduct phone interviews with vendors and financial services executives to get a sense of market trends.
Market Monitoring: Keep an eye on fraud technologies and new fintech startups.
Experience & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
Work Experience: At least 2 years in the financial services industry, especially with an understanding of fraud systems.
Research Background: Previous experience writing research reports and ease of working with data.
Legal Status: Authorization to work in the United States without any sponsorship.
Skills
Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to draw key points from complex data sets.
Communication: Excellent writing and speaking skills for business settings.
Technical Tools: Experience using SPSS (preferred) and strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
