Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) has started searching for a Festival Projectionist for its upcoming festival.

Job Summary
The main task of the Festival Projectionist is to operate motion picture equipment and maintain film screenings according to industry standards.
You'll work on-site in Seattle, WA, and make sure every show is top-quality. This is a contract role from May 2 to May 18, 2026, and you'll report to the Director of Cinema Operations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Projectionist, your responsibilities are pretty important:
Digital Cinema Operation: Properly run DCP servers, Blu-rays, and digital files.
Quality Control: Check content quality and the presence of KDMs before screening.
Playlist Building: Prepare playlists with sponsor ads, trailers, and the main feature film.
Technical Setup: Set up and monitor microphones, PAs, and mixers in auditoriums.
Maintenance: Keep the projection area clean and safe while staying alert for technical issues.
Experience & Qualifications
SIFF requires a few essential qualifications for this role:
Cinema Experience: You need at least 2 years of cinema projection experience.
Festival Background: Preference will go to those who have worked at a film festival before.
Technical Familiarity: You should know how to use G-Suite.
Flexibility: You must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Skills
Technical knowledge for handling audio-visual equipment.
Clear communication and teamwork during difficult situations.
Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Attention to detail so nothing gets missed during presentations.
Salary & Location
Salary: $23.00 per hour.
Location: Seattle, WA (On-site).
Note: Candidates must arrange their own housing and transport.
