Job Summary
As a Backend Engineer, you’ll make company’s high-performance financial platforms even stronger and more efficient. You’ll work with Java and Spring Boot to create solid backend services.
This job goes beyond just coding, you’ll be responsible for designing scalable architectures and modernizing old legacy systems.
In a fast-paced fintech environment, you’ll need to show your skills in database optimization and real-time communication systems as well.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Create scalable APIs and turn complex business logic into code.
Lead database schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
Implement real-time communication, caching (Redis), and messaging systems (RabbitMQ).
Update legacy systems to meet modern standards and ensure their stability.
Work on improving code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
Deliver top-quality software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Experience & Qualifications
Experience: At least 3 years of professional backend development experience.
Java Expertise: Expert-level Java programming skills (clean, production-grade code).
Spring Boot: Deep familiarity with Spring Boot for enterprise applications.
Core Fundamentals: Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), data structures, and algorithms.
Databases: Skilled in relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Problem Solving: Ability to independently handle complex systems and excellent debugging skills.
Skills
- Knowledge of caching and messaging tools like Redis, Ehcache, and RabbitMQ.
- Hands-on experience with the Spring ecosystem (WebSockets, Integration).
- Basic understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Lambda) and event-driven systems.
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with tools like Git, Jira, Confluence, and Postman.
Salary & Location
Location: DHA Phase 1, Sector F, Islamabad (Onsite role).
Timings: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
