York City, they’re looking for a capable Office Operations Specialist for their Jewelry Design and Innovation Workshop (JDIW). 


This workshop, located on East 23rd Street, is where modern technology and traditional craftsmanship come together to shape new jewelry designs.

Job Summary


As an Office Operations Specialist, your main job is to manage facility and administrative operations for a team of 60 to 70 people at JDIW. You’ll make sure the workshop has all the tools and resources it needs to run smoothly. 


In this role, you’ll handle budgets, oversee safety protocols, and coordinate the calendars of Vice Presidents and Directors. You’ll need to focus on both strategy and getting things done, to keep the workshop productive at all times.


Key Responsibilities


Manage budgeting and procurement for the JDIW office and shop.


Lead the Health and Safety Committee and implement safety training programs.


Oversee cleaning, maintenance, and waste management for the facility, including chemicals and hazardous materials.


Manage complex calendar and travel arrangements for the Vice President and Senior Director.


Serve as the primary contact for PR photoshoots, tours, and new employee onboarding.


Coordinate IT support and administer digital platforms like SharePoint.


Track inventory and help maintain research libraries (gemstones, finishes, textures).


Plan and execute team engagement events and recognition programs.


Experience & Qualifications


Experience: At least 6 years in administrative and office support (in a corporate or creative environment).


Communication: Excellent spoken and written English skills, to connect easily with senior leadership.


Tech Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) is essential.


Education: Bachelor’s degree is preferred.


Industry: Previous experience in luxury, design, or fashion is a big plus.

Salary & Location


Location: New York, NY (East 23rd Street).


Salary: $33.66 to $45.54 per hour, based on your skills and experience.
